Newborn newbie!

I am so excited to take newborn portraits! This will be my first time doing a newborn! (Aside from the ones I took of my princess but I have come a long way from that and I didnt even feel like those looked professional I actually was lucky enough to have Jessica Ensminger do a newborn session for A! ) Newborn photos matter so much because they are only that teeny for a second! They change so dramtically in the first few months and years of life. I reccomend a monthly photo session to capture the essence of your child at each developmental stage. Newborn - usually sleepy shots, or those wide eyed newborn eyes 3 months - wide awake, maybe some great grin shots or crys 6 months - sitting, playing with a favorite toy or holding a treasured blankie 9 months - standing (or close to it), playing 12 months - walking, crouching, pointing, laughing, first birthday of course! So much happens in this first year! Call me to take advantage of my Stages session which comes complete with a session at EACH STAGE! If you are expecting I will throw in your maternity session on top of this package for $50. Stages Session with Shanna - $200 (thats 5! whole sessions) (Add $10 per session for each additional person in portraits, great for a growing family!) Stages Package with Maternity - $250 Maternity Photoshoot $100 Newborn session - $100 Each session comes with the best images edited and copied to a disc for you to print as you wish, and a signed release from me. Did I ever mention...

So have I mentioned yet that I really LOVE photographing people? I do! I love meeting the people, taking the photos, reviewing the photos and editing where necessary. I love handing my clients a finished disc of their photos and then I love seeing those photos on facebook, greeting cards or wherever. I just thought you should know! I photographed this cute lil family and we had a lot of fun. The girls love each other and their momma so much! It was really really fun!

Time flies when you are taking photographs!

Its been over a month since my last post. I have had several sessions since then. Its amazing how much I am learning from getting out there and taking photos. You can read all you want but getting out there and using the camera is what I am finding to be what is helping me grow. I really like to capture a great image, so that when I come back to view and review I am not spending a lot of time fixing the image. Obviously some post editing is used to make a good photo even better but I like to keep it minimal. I get so excited when I have an appointment booked and then I get so nervous after the shoot in between the client leaving and me uploading to view. There is that little window of uncertainty that makes me wonder, did I get the shot, did I capture their essence. Its a little unnerving to think that I might not have gotten what I wanted. And then I upload... and there they are, beautiful images captured and sitting there staring at me. I am not trying to be full of self here, I am just so thrilled when a clients session goes well and I have that confidence that they will be happy with their memories in print. I still feel that I have a ways to go but I am taking advantage of every learning opportunity! Here we gooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

 

 

 

Out and About with KenzieAnn

Took my girl Kenzie out and about today, its only fair right. Take one child one day and the other the next. Only Addy got to come today of course since she was home with us. We had so much fun! I feel like each day I learn something new, see something new and I am loving it! Enjoy!!

Such a fun time snapping pictures for this fun little family! True with this many its a challenge to get them all todo the same thing at the same time but I think it was a success!
